A Scandinavian Webshop
Quooker is the original instant 100°C boiling water tap. Sold in over 11 countries, Henri Peteri's invention has become a true kitchen classic in Danish homes. Whether you want boiling, chilled, or sparkling water, a Quooker can provide it as soon as you need it. In addition to providing water in different ways, a Quooker can also be designed to match any home.
Task
Quooker came to Dwarf with the task of developing an online store targeted at the Danish market, as it was not possible at that time to purchase a Quooker directly from their website. The task was twofold – to create a flexible CMS to strengthen the brand site and to develop an online store where products are presented in a clear manner with the option to customize one's Quooker according to preferences and needs.
Solution
Umbraco is used to create a scalable CMS that allows Quooker's editors to easily build content pages with more than 15 different blocks. Ucommerce is utilized as the e-commerce platform in a decoupled version, providing Quooker with a robust e-commerce solution that is simultaneously flexible in terms of the brand's communication.
While Quooker may not have the largest selection of products, there is the option to assemble and configure a Quooker tap in many variations. The webshop allows for the customization of a Quooker according to specific needs. First, the shape and surface are selected to achieve the desired design, and then it can be tailored to the household's requirements in terms of the properties of the water tank. Options such as sparkling water or additional features like a soap dispenser can also be chosen – naturally in matching materials.
All of this is done on a single product page, where the image, price, and information are automatically updated based on the selections and exclusions made.
Product data is synchronized directly from Navision 2017 to Ucommerce, where it is enriched and linked across the board. This creates centralized product management while also allowing products to be enriched and categorized according to the needs of the e-commerce website. To handle customer data, Dynamics 365 is used. This makes the connection between the website and customer service smoother, and Quooker can provide the best possible service.
Quooker.dk also offers an integrated service shop where users can find spare parts and accessories. The service shop allows users to search for compatible spare parts using a serial number, provided the user is not already logged in to their Quooker profile. On this profile, users can register their products, making it easy to check compatibility with just one click.
Result
Within the first few minutes after the launch of the new website, the first purchase was already made. Quooker has now implemented an integrated webshop with their brand site, allowing for both communication and direct sales. This is just the beginning, as the decoupled solution provides many opportunities for further development and expansion.
