The app went live on 17 June 2020, and after 14 days it was in 4th place in the lifestyle category – and took 75th place among all apps in Denmark. With a 4.2-star rating, the EXPERIENCE app has received a superb reception. With OPLEV you get an overview of experiences near you. The popularity of the app among Danes testifies that we have not yet forgotten the good experiences in a difficult time, where we can only dream ourselves to the taste of gastronomy, cultural life, art and music.

Together with Dwarf, TV 2 Lorry has created an "experience portal" that differs significantly from previous bids from AOK and the city by combining super simple and fast navigation with moving images. The app gives users the ultimate overview of experiences with video teasers, so you know what you're encountering.

"TV 2 Lorry started the "OPLEV" universe about 2 years ago, which was a web-based solution where users can find attractions within different categories, areas, and similar locations. This had to be developed so that this could also act as an app for smartphones, allowing users to find the absolute best experiences, whether they were sitting at home or on the fly. TV 2 Lorry had the pleasure of having Dwarf as a supplier and development partner, where we needed a simple, high-quality app that has scalable options for future development. From the start, our wish was to find a development partner who could understand and familiarize themselves with the idea of the app, which has been an advantage throughout the process. We have an application that we are very proud of, and we can see that the universe is growing day by day", says Christophe Kolbeck, Editor of Design and Graphics at TV 2 Lorry.

Dwarf's task was to bring the idea to life on desktop (web), in mobile browsers (mobile web), and as an app for Android and iOS. The solution is a video-based guide for the entire Capital Region, where the user can quickly find cultural offerings nearby.

Oliver Wang Hansen, Chief Technology Officer at Dwarf elaborates:

"Since we at Dwarf specialize in developing web platforms, we screwed the technology choice together so that the app could perform as desired. Discover the app is therefore built with one code base, which can unfold on all the different platforms. Specifically, it is VueJS, Nuxt, and Capacitor with which the platform is built. This also means that new "OPLEV" features only need to be built once before being deployed on all the supported platforms. This technology is finally strong enough for this type of app, and the result speaks for itself - 4.2-star rating in Apple's AppStore on the current version and a ranking among some of Denmark's top apps after we went live."
