Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker is a foundation-owned investment company with a history dating back to 1750. The company works to ensure the grant-making capacity and philanthropic work of the Augustinus Foundation. Additionally, it invests to secure long-term growth in Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker’s balance sheet. This growth is achieved by investing in Danish companies—not only to generate returns but also to preserve and develop them under local ownership, benefiting both the businesses and the surrounding society.
Challenge
Based on our collaboration with the Augustinus Foundation, Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker reached out with a request for a new visual identity and website. They were experiencing challenges with their existing website, making it difficult to communicate their stories and investments in an engaging and modern way. The design needed an upgrade to better reflect their contemporary and exclusive profile. Navigation was complex, requiring a simplification of user journeys across the site to help visitors easily find key information.
Solution
The solution consists of a new visual identity and website that combine exclusivity with a modern and welcoming approach. Built in Sanity, the website features an intuitive layout that ensures users can access relevant information within a maximum of three clicks. The site now presents a more dynamic expression, clearly linking Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker with the Augustinus Foundation.
A key focus was to capture users’ interest and encourage further engagement through highlighted cases particularly relevant to potential investment prospects and partners. A story-driven universe was created to drive traffic and engage visitors through regular updates, allowing Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker to communicate news and insights on behalf of or in collaboration with their investments. Additionally, Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker’s annual reports are seamlessly integrated with interactive graphs and summaries, making financial data easily accessible and visually appealing.
Inspired by the client’s office environment, the design conveys a sense of exclusivity while remaining inviting—a duality that allows users to feel included in the company’s story and role in society.
Result
The website went live on November 11, 2024. The new site has strengthened Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker’s digital profile. The enhanced visual identity and improved user journey have not only made it easier for visitors to find relevant information but also established a stronger foundation for raising awareness of the company’s core messages. The site effectively communicates the investment firm’s long-standing history and societal engagement in an inspiring way, inviting potential investment partners to become part of the journey.
